October

by amelydely
Last night was cold and silent,
With rustling crimson leaves:
Colours of brown floating to ground,
Falling soflty against my knees.

The wind blew colder and stronger,
Burning my face, leaving me tired;
And the falling rain of October -
Let my heart get weaker and wired.

Burst of bitter autumn leaves
Whirled round with the rain;
Flushed away my misty dreams,
Drowning memories in pain!
