Three Days To Kill

“Do you mind telling, where are you taking me?”
“Just sit back and relax, you’ll see.”

Ava. She’s the girl I couldn’t predict at times. Even though I’ve known her for years but I still felt like I’ve just known her yesterday. She has secrets I knew not. Her mysterious personality, her spirit and her determination, made me want to know who’s this girl really was. We drove few miles south to Rio’s main town, in her red Hummer. We passed some streets markets, villages then straight into the woods.

“Ava, where the hell is this place?” I said, confused.
“I want to show you something. It’s where I live.” She replied.
“You live in a wood?”
“Not exactly.”

We’re nearing to a place that looked like a massive hill. It was strange. A hill in the middle of a wood. Ava stopped the hummer and invited me to come with her.

“Here it is. We’re home.” Said Ava.
“What are you talking about? It’s just a big hill with trees . . .”
My word was put to a halt when the hill I just insulted changed shape. I was dumb surprised.

“It’s a base where me and the others are working all this time. This place is well protected and disguised. The four corners of this hill, have some sophisticated hologram technology that creates an image of virtual illusion. Well hidden from government and satelite cam.”
“Holy Molly. That’s just crazy.”
“I know, and I don’t have much time to explain. Let’s go inside. We need some briefing from Dr. Jones, then I get to bring you around this lab.”
“Who’s Dr. Jones?”
“He’s the founder of this secret base. He’s the one who saved me after I went out to escape the explosion from the governor’s house in Moscow years ago. Come on, we need to get in now before the government's satellite capture our image.”

I was totally amazed with this secret base. It was a secret base and also a hidden lab. The base were mostly underground while the lab are above ground but still hidden from naked eyes. I witnessed some extraordinary experiments, some scientists were epxerimenting on hover boards, bodyguard robots they called nemesis, water guns, armor suit that looked like a tuxedo when bullets were shot they all repelled. I couldn’t help but asked Ava about those weapons.

“We’re gonna use that against the C.S aren’t we?”
“No.”
“Why not? Those weapons and armor looks so damn right at my ally!”
“Those are only for the lower rank spies. In our case, we’re assassins. We assassins have better equipments than those.”
“You’re not kidding!”
“No.”
